While childhood should be a time of fun, learning and growth, children aren’t immune from psychological difficulties and may struggle with various forms of anxiety, including concerns about being separated from caregivers, fears about their health and safety, and specific phobias. Children can also be affected by traumatic experiences and loss, and experience episodes of depression.
Following an assessment with your family about your concerns, I can provide a treatment plan that may or may not include individual therapy with your child by themselves, or sessions with the child’s caregivers. Alternatively, there may be a need for a more formalised assessment of your child’s emotional or intellectual strengths and weaknesses – more information can be found on my Child Assessment page.
